7 going on 17

I'm sure a lot of you can identify with this layout... although I'd have thought it was usually girls who go through this more than boys ;-)

I used the negative of a sheet of Scenic Route chipboard stars as a mask and sprayed the background with Adirondack spray ink to create the blue stars. I LOVE these sprays. I spend a good hour deliberating over which colours to purchase, when I thought, "Hey, if I buy them ALL I get free postage". It seemed like a valid reason to me. So I now have all 12 of the beauties sitting on my shelf. They are similar to Glimmer Mists in principle, but they don't shimmer and the hues are far more vibrant. If you're reading, Adirondack, MAKE MORE COLOURS. Seriously.

***EDITED FOR IRINI: I bought my sprays here. I'd never used them before but was impressed with their service.***

I then punched out some red stars to match the wall in the photo, and scattered them over the top. After sticking it all down and finishing my journaling, I thought the picture looked a bit like it was just 'plonked'. I wanted to tie it in with the page more, so thought about punching out more stars from a blue patterned paper when I spotted the newspaper I'd used to protect my table laying to one side. I grabbed my punch again and adhered the sprayed newspaper stars directly to the photo.

I have more layouts to share, but the sun is not cooperating. I'm now struggling with my photos being too bright! Now the sun's come out, it's gone from one extreme to the other. How do you take pictures of your layouts? Please do share!
